The Stillness of the Heart – Meditation Workshop
11/26/2023 @ 2:30 pm - 6:30 pm
400DKKExplore or deepen your meditation practice and your experience of the Heart
Yoga is a holistic practice that aims at reconnecting ourselves with our natural lifeforce and inner wisdom not only in our body and mind, but also in our heart.
The heart is a key aspect in the yoga tradition. One Sanskrit word for heart is indeed Hridaya, which directly translates as “the center” or “the place in the middle.” Beyond the center of our sentimental and emotional world, the heart in yoga is used to describe the very depth of our being where we can rediscover ourselves, feel connected to self and others, and where life ultimately makes sense.
This afternoon workshop is a dive into the realm of yoga beyond asana practice, and the universe of the heart more specifically.
Although we will include gentle asana to prepare our body for sitting meditation, the primary focus will be to cultivate an embodiment of the particular state of being and place within that ancient eastern sages have called the Heart.
A state of inner stillness through various meditation techniques that you will be able to take home and either integrate into your established practice or use to refresh or start a regular one.
We will draw from a few easily digestible teachings from ancient eastern philosophy and more modern mindfulness to build up an experience of the heart and its qualities (such as stillness, openness, and connection, to name a few examples) not only during the workshop but also into our daily lives.
Experience with meditation is recommended but not strictly necessary. Most important is your willingness to turn inwards and open to your inner world and the gifts it might have for your spiritual growth and awakening journey.
This is an in-person workshop, yet the session will be recorded. Each participant will get the audio recording and a written summary after the workshop.
